On Feb. 14, 2013, a meteor entered the atmosphere and disintegrated in the skies over Chelyabinsk, Russia. It was estimated to be 49-55 feet with a mass from 7,000-10,000 tons! The meteor crash was actually way more severe than predicted. Scientists concur that this type of collision happens about once every 100 years, with the last incident happening in Tunguska, Siberia in 1908. 3,000 buildings were damaged with at least 1,000 injuries and who knows how many deaths could have been resulted of this!
